An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] REPRODUCTION Still (Learn More) Donald 'Red' Barry was an actor from the 1930s to 1980. He may be best known as having the title role in the "Red Ryder" serial (which is how is got his nickname), and for his roles in many westerns. Some of his other movies include: Johnny Got His Gun, Dead End, Seven Men From Now, Only Angels Have Wings, and Warlock. Unfortunately, he took his own life in 1980 at the age of 68. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Don 'Red' Barry! Note that this item was consigned to us from the family of Ken Jones, who was an author of books about movies (including books about character actors and western stars). In the course of researching his books, he became friends with many Hollywood actors, and he would ask them to autograph stills for him (originals if he had them, or repros if he did not), and they obliged, usually returning the stills to him with a personalized inscription "To Ken". In the case of this still, he had Mr. Barry autograph it to his wife Nancy, with a comic inscription. The family does not have a letter of authenticity for this signed item, but we feel certain it is authentic, given Mr. Jones' personal relationship with the star. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
