He is most famous for his line art caricatures of movie stars and celebrities over many decades. He was also married to Broadway actress and performer Dolly Haas until she passed away in 1994. Hirschfeld passed away in 2003 at the age of 99. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Al Hirschfeld! Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper who purchased this item years ago, and it was signed, but he doesn't know how the signature was obtained, and he (and we) believe it is likely that the autograph is authentic.
