Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet (27" x 41") (Learn More) A Night in the Moulin Rouge (also released as "Ding Dong Girlies" and "Ding Dong"), the 1951 W. Merle Connell burlesque stripper exotic dancer sexploitation movie ("Ding-Dong!"; "Spicy-Saucy!"; "Naughty but nice!"; "Ooo, La! La!!"; "Snappy Saucy Spicy"; "Girls Girls Girls"; "Oh! La-La (Nuf-Sed)"; "French Style Girls") starring Illona ("The Bavarian Orchid"), Iva Pratt ("and the Red Mill Cuties"), Jennie Lee, Jack Little, and George 'Beetlepuss' Lewis. This movie (like other movies that followed it in the 1950s) presented a sort of "evening at a burlesque show". Note that, despite implications of the title, the movie was actually filmed at the "Moulin Rouge Theater", a burlesque theater in Oakland, California! Note that this movie is very similar to the 1951 movie "The French Follies", in that both of them were filmed at a "strip club", where the strippers did their actual routines (except that they did it for a camera in an empty club). That is odd, because the two movies were made by different companies, but maybe someone saw the first movie and then approached the club about doing a similar movie, and they agreed. Some of the same performers appear in both films. In this movie, the soundtrack is pre-recorded, and it doesn't appear that the girls are hearing that music, while in "French Follies", either the music was recorded while the girls were performing, or more likely, it was added later, but because it is the music they were performing to. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster one of a newly discovered group of posters of sexploitation and burlesque films of the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s! Posters from these films are far more rare than those from regular films, because they only played in a very limited number of theaters. Few were made and very few survive, especially those from before 1950! Condition: very good to fine. There is 1 1/2" of separation at the bottom crossfold. There is tiny separation at the top crossfold. There are a few tiny tears in the left blank border and some darkening in the upper left blank border. Learn More about condition grades
