BOMBAY CLIPPER 1sh '42

Lease from Hershenson/Allen Archive

An Original Vintage One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh) (Learn More)

Bombay Clipper, the 1942 John Rawlins airplane aviation mystery suspense thriller (about a newly married foreign correspondent whose wife wants him to quit the business and settle down, and they are taking a honeymoon trip on a plane that is transporting a fortune in diamonds, and they soon learn there are foreign spies on the plane trying to steal the diamonds, and the man wants to stop them!) starring William Gargan, Irene Hervey, Charles Lang, Maria Montez, Mary Gordon, Lloyd Corrigan, Truman Bradley, Turhan Bey, Warren Ashe, Jack Lee, Pat O'Malley, C. Montague Shaw, and Harry Strang. Note that the movie was made in late 1941, and the spies were clearly Asian, but the country they came from was left unnamed, but it seemed they were Japanese. By the time the movie made it to theaters in 1942, Pearl Harbor had happened, and by that point, there was no need to not name the country the spies were from, but it was too late to change the movie!
