Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (measures 12 1/4" x 15"; 20 pages) (Learn More) Conquest of Space, the 1955 Byron Haskin science fiction (sci-fi) outer space astronaut thriller ("See how it will happen ...in your lifetime!"; produced by George Pal; "Based on the book by Chesley Bonestell and Willy Ley", who were both highly acclaimed science fiction/science fact writers; the writers were very correct that it would happen in "your" lifetime; they correctly predicted a space station, and they were off on the timing of a manned Mars expedition, but that is likely coming soon, and there was a movie recently made about that, called "The Martian"!) starring Walter Brooke, Eric Fleming, Mickey Shaughnessy, Phil Foster, William Redfield, William Hopper, Benson Fong, Ross Martin, and Joan Shawlee NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this pressbook is part of an amazing collection of 456 different horror/sci-fi pressbooks (our items #5387 through #5842)! The collector who assembled this collection did so over a span of several decades, and to duplicate it would surely take at least that long, if one started today. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire rare pressbooks that almost never are offered for sale! Condition: good to very good. Note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Since pressbooks were INTENDED to be cut up (the theater owners would cut out the newspaper ads to run in their local papers).
