An Original Vintage Theatrical Kraftbacked Folded Six-Sheet Movie Poster (6sh; measures 81" x 81" [206 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Sunset in El Dorado, the 1945 Frank McDonald singing cowboy western ("Original Story by Leon Abrams") starring Roy Rogers ("King of the Cowboys"), Trigger ("The Smartest Horse in the Movies"), George 'Gabby' Hayes, Dale Evans, Hardie Albright, Margaret Dumont, Roy Barcroft, and Bob Nolan and The Sons of The Pioneers. Note that it might seem odd that Dale Evans was fourth billed (below Trigger and Gabby Hayes!), but at this time, she and Roy were married to other people, and they were only a couple on screen. The following year, Roy's wife sadly died, and when Dale divorced soon after, their on screen romance continued off screen as well! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this six-sheet was printed in 4 sections designed to overlap. Also note that this poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked, and it would look great! Condition: good. After the poster was mounted onto the kraft paper, the borders of the kraft paper were folded over the front of the borders of the poster and glued down. There is a distributor snipe glued to the top right and bottom left corners, and a censor stamp in the top left and lower right corners.
