An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M For Murder, the classic 1954 Alfred Hitchcock 3-D (3D; 3-Dimension) romantic love triangle crime murder mystery detective suspense thriller ("...is that you, darling?"; "Written by Frederick Knott who wrote the International Stage Success"; "If a woman answers... hang on for dear life!"; "Is this the man she was waiting for... or the man who was waiting for her?"; "Perfect 3 Dimension in the Hitchcock manner!") starring Ray Milland, Grace Kelly, Robert Cummings (Bob Cummings), John Williams, and Anthony Dawson. Note that, although this movie was filmed in 3-D, none of the original posters mention it at all (there is an explanation in the pressbook that because they know many theaters will not show it in 3-D, "the ads have been designed so that the 3D copy may be eliminated" [and obviously, this is why they did not put 3-D on the posters]). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was never machine folded. Most movie posters from before 1980 were machine folded immediately after printing, but a very few were left unfolded. An unfolded poster from before 1980 is almost always far more difficult to find than a folded poster of the same title, and finding unfolded posters in excellent condition is even more difficult! Condition: good. There are stains in the left 5" of the bottom blank border and stains, smudges, creases, and some tiny tears around the edges of the poster. There were tears and areas of paper loss in the lower part of the left blank border, just extending into the edge of the background. Someone took brown paper tape and put it on the back of the bottom 1/3 of the left blank border, and then put white paper tape on the front of the tears and area of small paper loss, as a kind of "restoration". I would think many collectors could happily display this great poster just as it is, or they could have it professionally restored. After paperbacking by a talented professional, the poster would look great, and there would be little paint restoration anywhere in the image. Learn More about condition grades
