An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Brideless Groom, the 1947 Edward Bernds inheritance romantic slapstick comedy short ("Gold diggers mob the Stooges for their money!"; "A Columbia Short-Subject Presentation"; in this entry, which is an hommage to Buster Keaton's "Seven Chances", Shemp must marry by 6 o'clock to inherit a fortune, but he can't find anyone to marry him, until they learn what he will be getting, and then a mass of brides show up at the church!) starring The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Shemp Howard), Dee Green, Christine McIntyre, Emil Sitka, Doris Houck (billed as "Doris Colleen"), and Virginia Hunter. Note that much of this short was re-edited into the 1956 comedy short "Husbands Beware". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had two extra horizontal folds 3" and 4" below the regular top fold. It had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny bits of surface paper loss on parts of several folds, with pinholes and some tiny tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
