When the movie was first released in 1940, Errol Flynn and Miriam Hopkins were top billed, and Humphrey Bogart and Randolph Scott received much lesser third and fourth billing. Bogart had his major swell of popularity in the mid 1940s, and he surely would have received great billing in a 1945 re-release (if there were one), but by 1951, he had faded considerably, so when this movie was re-released then, he was still fourth billed, but he received equal billing to Flynn and Scott. By 1956, when the movie was re-released yet again, both Errol Flynn and Miriam Hopkins' stars had faded sufficiently that Humphrey Bogart and Randolph Scott were now top billed, and Errol Flynn and Miriam Hopkins received much smaller billing!
