Jigokumon (released in the U.S. in 1954 as "Gate of Hell"), the 1953 Teinosuke Kinugasa Japanese samurai romantic tragedy ("Spellbinding drama of savage passions!!!";"Winner of two Academy Awards"; "In glorious Eastman color"; set in Japan in the 1300s; winner of the Best Foreign Language Film and Best Color Costume Academy Awards for this film) starring Kotaro Bando, Kazuo Hasegawa, Tatsuya Ishiguro, Yataro Kurokawa and Machiko Kyo
