Artist: Anselmo Ballester Important Added Info: Note that offered here is the actual original artwork painted by Anselmo Ballester in 1949 for one of the Italian posters for this 1947 Ginger Rogers romantic comedy. It was created on a heavy board, and there are markings on the back that were surely added at that time, so we photographed the back as well. Not only have we never auctioned the Italian poster that this art was used for, but we have never auctioned ANY Italian poster (just one photobusta) from this movie. Italian posters by Ballester are among the most desirable and expensive Italian posters there are, and his original artwork is almost never offered for sale or at auction! We DID auction original art by Ballester for "The Strange Case of the Man and the Beast", an Argentinean movie, and that art sold for $7,351! Also note that this original art is on lightweight poster board, but it can't possibly be rolled, and must be sent in a large flat package. Condition: good to very good. The original art has tiny brown stains around the edges and in the light background areas. There are a few in the light colored areas of the painting, but they are not very distracting at all (see our images). Learn More about condition grades
