#179 MY SON THE VAMPIRE 1sh R60s Sherman

Date Sold 9/18/2001
Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price.

R60s Vintage Theatrical One-Sheet (29" x 42") (Learn More)

the 1963 re-packaging re-release of Mother Riley Meets the Vampire (re-issued as "My Son the Vampire"), the 1952 John Gilling English horror comedy starring Arthur Lucan, Bela Lugosi, Dora Bryan, Philip Leaver, Ian Wilson, and Judith Furse. Note that this item promotes Allan Sherman who sang the title song (he is even pictured). This no doubt means this re-release came out just after Sherman had great success with his comedy albums and such songs as "Hello Mudder, Hello Fadder". Someone probably saw that as a chance to gain a new audience for this decade-old movie!
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster measures a larger 29" x 42" but is a U.S. one-sheet.

Condition: very good. There are a few minor tears, pinholes, minor creases, and smudges in the blank borders. There is a piece off the bottom right corner and another off the left of the top blank border.
