Back From The Dead!"; "Screenplay by Catherine Turney based on her novel 'The Other One'") starring Peggie Castle, Arthur Franz, Marsha Hunt, Don Haggerty, Evelyn Scott, Ned Glass, Jeanne Bates, and Helen Wallace NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. This poster was linenbacked, but it was either NOT linenbacked by a very talented restorer, OR it was linenbacked many years ago, and has received rough handling over the years, OR it had fairly significant defects that were not restored at all. If it was restored, you can clearly see signs of the restoration even from a distance. This is a poster that would surely benefit from additional professional restoration. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster has a Canadian censor stamp in the credits area that the restorer did not touch. There were small areas of paper loss at each crossfold and minor fold and border wear. There was an NSS number written on the back of the center of the top blank border, and it bleeds through to the front. The poster displays OK as it is, if you can overlook the above defects. If I owned this poster, I would likely have a restorer paint over the censor stamp (which fortunately is almost entirely in the solid white background), and touch up the border bleed through, and do some additional touch up to the foldlines, all without re-backing the poster. Whether or not you feel it needs additional restoration, please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects, or are willing to pay to have the poster re-restored!
