A 1966 Re-Release Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest, the classic 1959 Alfred Hitchcock New York City South Dakota romantic crime suspense thriller ("The Master of Suspense weaves his greatest tale... about a secret that nobody knew... a man who never existed... and a love affair that began in an upper berth - and ended in screaming death!"; "From the killer plane in the cornfield to the cliff-hanger on George Washington's nose, it's suspense in every direction!"; "The master of suspense spins his greatest tale"; "A train may be an old-fashioned way to travel, but an upper berth can be a lovely way to go - When It's Your Time To Go......"; "Breathless excitement that races from glittering Manhattan to the great stone faces of Mt. Rushmore!"; "Written by Ernest Lehman") starring Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, James Mason, Jessie Royce Landis, Leo G. Carroll, Martin Landau, Edward Platt, and Phillip Ober NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that, in 1966, MGM re-released this classic 1959 Alfred Hitchcock movie, and created new posters that most collectors feel are superior to that of the original! It has the classic scene of Cary Grant being chased by the crop duster biplane, plus it shows Mt. Rushmore (and Hitchcock is one of the faces!), plus there is an image of Hitchcock holding a giant hand, plus there is a new tagline that reads, "Only Cary Grant and Alfred Hitchcock ever gave you so much suspense in so many directions so we brought it back!" Also note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has pinholes in the corners and in the center of the top and bottom blank borders. It has a 1" crease in the lower right border with a tiny tear at the end of the crease. It has some faint creases scattered in the poster, with faint partial diagonal creases in three corners. Someone once started to fold the poster down the middle, but it is not a true fold, and it is barely noticeable from the front. Learn More about condition grades
