An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) The Professionals, the 1966 Richard Brooks (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) south-of-the-border foiled-kidnapping-of-rich-man's-wife cowboy western ("When you want action - this is the one you want!"; "Excitement!"; "Based on a novel by Frank O'Rourke"; "Written for the screen and Directed by Richard Brooks") starring Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan, Jack Palance, Ralph Bellamy, Claudia Cardinale ("as Maria"), and Woody Strode. Note that this was a "thinking man's" western, with lots of clever twists and turns, and fine dialogue. This was one of the few westerns to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Director! Artist: Howard Terpning Important Added Info: Note that the window card was glued to a 1/2" thick corrugated cardboard backing which had been wrapped with purple tape first. It is likely the card cannot be easily removed from this backing, so please do not bid on this card unless you can accept the fact that it has been mounted in this fashion. Condition: good.
