This poster features the message in English, Italian, Polish, Slovak, and Hebrew. The translations were filed with the Postmaster in New York as required by the Trading with the Enemy Act of 1917. That was a United States federal law that gave the President of the United States the power to oversee or restrict any and all trade between the United States and its enemies in times of war. Likely, non-English text needed to be approved so as to prevent communication with the "enemy". If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. There are a few creases and small tears in a few portions of the edges and at upper center and most are repaired with restoration tape from the back (and replaced with a small piece of paper at lower left.)
