An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The General Died at Dawn, the 1936 Lewis Milestone romantic China war mercenary spy espionage adventure thriller ("Two great stars in Clifford Odet's thrilling adventure drama of today's turbulent, war ravaged China!"; about an American mercenary fighting on the side of peasants in a Chinese rebellion, and he is given a lot of money to buy weapons, and he is captured, and he and his girlfriend are tortured to get them to reveal where the money is) starring Gary Cooper, Madeleine Carroll, William Frawley, Dudley Digges, Akim Tamiroff (in the title role as General Yang; nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Porter Hall, and J.M. Kerrigan NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and black tape, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the black tape or the edges of the slide well. Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. The slide has some wear on the black tape, but is otherwise in pretty nice condition Learn More about condition grades
