An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Ten Nights in a Bar-Room, the 1931 William A. O'Connor anti-drinking alcoholism melodramatic tearjerker ("The world famous play - NOW - on the talking screen"; "The Greatest Story Ever Filmed"; "All-Talking Picture of the World Famous Play"; "Days that are gone but not forgotten"; "All new - all talking"; based on the play by Edwin Waugh, which had been filmed an amazing six different times as a silent; about a highly respected man who loses his job and his family when he becomes an alcoholic, and there is a scene where his young daughter comes into the bar where he hangs out and begs him to come home, and the man decides to reform, but first he gets vengeance on the man who led him to start drinking in the first place!) starring William Farnum, Tom Santschi (billed as "Thomas Santschi"), Patty Lou Lynd (billed as "Patty LuLynd"; in her only movie role!), Robert Frazer, John Darrow, Lionel Belmore, Phyllis Barrington, Thomas Jefferson, Harry Todd, and Rosemary Theby NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned a similar title card to this that has mostly the same image and information, but on this one, William Farnum and Thomas Santschi's billing have been improved from what it is in the other one. Also, the other one says "ALL NEW ALL TALKING", and this one says "100% ALL TALKING PICTURE". It would seem likely that one predates the other, but it might be by a very small amount of time, and no one seems to know which one came first. Please do not bid on this unless you can accept this uncertainty. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. The card has darkened, typical of some lobby cards of this period. There are creases and a few tears in the right of the bottom border, with creases in the other corners. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
