An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) My Favorite Wife, the classic 1940 Garson Kanin romantic love triangle marriage-and-re-marriage comedy (about a wife, lost at sea for seven years, who returns the day her husband, thinking his wife died, is getting re-married; this is the old "Enoch Arden" story, except with the sexes reversed!) starring Irene Dunne, Cary Grant, Randolph Scott, Gail Patrick, and Scotty Beckett NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. There are some scattered dot stains in the poster that appear to be tiny white paint splatters (they are very tiny and they are only in parts of the image). There are some light brown stains scattered in the poster, more so near the bottom. There are tack holes with staining around the tack holes around the edges of the poster and a series of small tears in the vertical foldline. There are brown stains in the top right blank corner and some pairs of staple holes around the edges. Someone put some pieces of brown paper tape on the back of pinholes in the borders and on the back of each crossfold, but otherwise, the poster has had no restoration. This is the sort of poster that responds really well to professional restoration. It is likely that much or all of the faint brown staining and white dots can be removed through chemical means, and much of the other defects are around the edges, and after proper restoration, the poster will look fantastic!
