Mercedes Filmbilder: Filmalbum 4, the 1930s German cigarette card album promoting Mercedes Cigarettes and featuring 36 pages of 168 tipped-in cigarette premium cards of popular movie stars including: Lilian Harvey, Willy Fritsch, Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo, Gary Cooper, and many, many more! A difference between this and other similar cigarette card albums is that this one has printed pages where you would put in images of specific stars or directors, and there is a page on Marlene Dietrich and a great director's page that has Fritz Lang, G.W. Pabst, F.W. Murnau, Ernst Lubitsch, Josef von Sternberg, and Carl Froelich (see our images). There are three full-page full-color images of scenes from movies as well (we pictured two of them) and there is a 2-page index to all the cards. There are glassine sheets inserted between each sheet of cards so that they don't rub against each other (this is how the album was created).

Important Added Info: Note: We have 11 images of the German posters in this set, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 11 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 1.

Condition: very good. There are some stains on the covers, but otherwise, the album is in nice condition!
