24 Hours of a Woman's Life (released in the U.S. in 1953 as "Affair in Monte Carlo"), the 1952 Victor Saville English romantic love triangle compulsive gambling casino melodrama ("They gambled life, love... everything - in a paradise of temptation!"; a complicated and fascinating story of a man at a wedding where the bride runs off with a man she met the day before; the guests are stunned, but the man tells them all about a woman he knew many years before who did something very similar, and through flashback, he tells how the woman left her fiance to be with a compulsive gambler who had just lost all his money at a Monte Carlo casino, and was about to commit suicide; the woman decided she loved him, and convinced him to not kill himself; but when she finds him back at the casino, she realizes she has been a fool, and she returned to her fiance; as the man wraps up his story, his wife comes to him, and it is the woman from his own story, and he was that fiance who was left years before!) starring Merle Oberon, Richard Todd, Leo Genn, Stephen Murray, Peter Reynolds, Joan Dowling, June Clyde, Peter Illing, and Jacques Brunius
