Note that George Petty cooperated in the making of the movie and provided art for the advertising! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: George Petty Important Added Info: Note that the last time we auctioned this Spanish language one-sheet was 10 years ago! Also note that this one-sheet was printed in the United States for use at theaters with Spanish speaking audiences (this was done most by MGM, starting in the 1930s, but it was done by the other major studios as well, and often the posters would have the exact same image as the English language poster, except the writing would be in Spanish, and on posters from the 1930s and 1940s there would be an added "Toda en Espanol!", meaning "Entirely in Spanish!", printed within the image). Sometimes posters from the 1960s or later will have the word "SPANISH" printed in the bottom border (or sometimes stamped on the back of the poster). This poster also has the alternate title "Girl of the Year" printed in English under the Spanish title. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the bottom crossfold and tiny paper loss and tiny tears on parts of the folds. It had tears, paper loss, and stains around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and the restorer painted over most of the blank borders to "even them out".
