An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) China Clipper, the 1936 Ray Enright airplane aviation pilot thriller ("The Earth's mightiest ocean its setting! The air's most daring pioneers its heroes! The world's greatest flight its climax!") starring Pat O'Brien, Ross Alexander, Beverly Roberts, Humphrey Bogart (4th billed, as this was prior to his breakout role in "The Petrified Forest"), Marie Wilson, Joseph Crehan, Joseph King, and Addison Richards NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and it had defects which were repaired during the linenbacking process (which we describe below, as well as the quality of the restoration, if I thought there was something about the restoration worth commenting on!). You should also look at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). the poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds, tiny tears and tiny paper loss down the vertical foldline; there were creases and tiny areas of surface paper loss across the horizontal foldlines; there were a few very tiny areas of paper loss in the blank borders.
