An Original 1933 (from the first release of this movie in Spain) Vintage Theatrical Spanish Movie Herald (measures 3 1/4" x 5 1/2" [8 x 14 cm]) (Learn More) Blonde Venus, the classic 1932 Josef von Sternberg woman-sacrifices-all-including-her-integrity-for-her-sick-husband-who-turns-on-her romantic melodrama starring Marlene Dietrich, Herbert Marshall, Cary Grant, Gene Morgan, Dickie Moore, Francis Sayles, and Sidney Toler (in an early 9th billed role). Note that this was one of the seven movies that Dietrich made with director von Sternberg, and it is one of the best remembered, after "The Blue Angel" (which was the only one of the seven which was not a U.S. movie, because von Sternberg made it in Germany, in both languages). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this 4-page Spanish herald! The unknown artist who rendered this image of Dietrich gave her a sheer top that left nothing to the imagination, and certainly would never have been allowed in U.S. advertising at this time. Also note that we have pictured the front and back of this 4-page Spanish herald. We opened it up and photographed the front and back together, but of course, normally you view it with just the front cover showing, because it was folded. Finally, note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars.
