An Original Vintage Campaign Book (measures 8 1/2" x 11 1/4" [22 x 29 cm]; 23 pages) (Learn More)

Inspiration Pictures 1926-1927, the 1926 campaign book to promote forthcoming movies produced by Inspiration Pictures (to be distributed by either First National or Metro-Goldwyn). Inspiration Pictures was founded in 1921 by several stars and directors (including Lillian and Dorothy Gish, Henry King, and Richard Barthelmess), similar to United Artists, because these stars and directors wanted greater control over their own movies. Like United Artists, they solely produced the movies and had them distributed by major studios. The studio was mainly active in the 1920s and it's last film was in 1930. This is the only campaign book from this studio we have ever auctioned, and it gives a brief history of the studio prior to 1926, listing some of its most successful movies. If anyone knows more about any of this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this campaign book, and as noted above, it is the only campaign book from Inspiration Pictures we have ever auctioned!

Condition: very good to fine. The book is in nice condition (see our many images).
