An Original Vintage Unfolded Japanese Poster (measures 20 1/2" x 43 1/2" [52 x 110 cm]) (Learn More)

Haunted Movie Competition (literal translation of the Japanese title), the early 1960s Japanese regional horror thriller double-bill of Tokaido Yotsuya kaidan (released in the U.S. as "Ghost Story of Yotsuya"), the 1959 Nobuo Nakagawa Japanese samurai horror thriller starring Shigeru Amachi, Noriko Kitazawa, Shuntaro Emi, Junko Ikeuchi, and Ryozaburo Nakamura AND Borei Kaibyo Yashiki (released in English-speaking countries as "Black Cat Mansion"), the 1958 Nobuo Nakagawa Japanese horror thriller melodrama starring Toshio Hosokawa, Yuriko Ejima, Takashi Wada, Ryuzaburo Nakamura, and Fujie Satsuki. Note that much of the above is somewhat "guess work", because we are not certain that the above two movies were the only ones being shown, or when, where, or for what purpose this poster was displayed. What is certain is that this is a REALLY great image that is dazzling in person (looking at our digital image gives you a sense of how cool it is)! If anyone knows more about any of this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap.

Condition: very good to fine. The two sections were glued together as intended. There are some tiny dot stains in the lower center of the image, just below where the two sections were joined. There are a few creases along the folds and a few minor creases scattered in the poster, and very minor border wear. Otherwise, the poster is in nice condition, and the colors are bright and fresh!
