Sixteen Fathoms Deep, the 1934 Irving Allen & Armand Schaefer romantic love triangle ocean underwater deep sea diving adventure thriller ("From the American Magazine story by Eustace L. Adams"; about a sponge diver who wants to make enough money to buy his own boat and marry his girl, but his rival wants to stop him on both fronts) starring Sally O'Neil, Lon Chaney Jr. (billed as "Creighton Chaney"), George Regas, Maurice Black, Si Jenks, and Jack Kennedy. Note that in the 1948 remake, Chaney was the villain and Lloyd Bridges played the hero.
