What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was partially folded in half an extra time, and had tiny paper loss at some crossfolds. It had slight fine surface paper loss on parts of the folds and tiny paper loss in the top and bottom borders at the end of folds. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. Someone backed the poster on a very thin linen many years ago, with minimal restoration. It can certainly be displayed and enjoyed as it is, but if I owned htis poster, I would have it removed from the old linen, and after more modern restoration (which would involve very slight touch up to the folds), the poster will display wonderfully!
