An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) Scared to Death, the 1947 Christy Cabanne crime fantasy murder mystery ("A thrilling mystery of a supernatural killer!"; "She lived in fear of revenge!"; "He reached out for Revenge!"; "Stark terror gripped her heart as a voice she had betrayed... Cam back from beyond to haunt her. He reached out for revenge... Even after death."; "Photographed in full natural color"; about a woman who is literally scared to death, and the movie opens with her on a slab in a morgue, and the story is told in flashback with many people being suspected of being behind a campaign to cause her demise, and the identity of that person is revealed at the conclusion of the movie) starring Bela Lugosi, George Zucco, Nat Pendleton, Molly Lamont, Joyce Compton, Douglas Fowley, and Angelo Rossitto (a little person who appeared in a number of movies over a long period of time) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had paper loss at several crossfolds. It had tears, creases, tiny areas of paper loss, and tape stains on some foldlines. There was a long diagonal tear in the green face area to the left of the "D" of "DEATH" in the title. There were creases, smudges, pinholes, tears, and small areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster's many minor defects were well corrected during the linenbacking process, but there is a fair amount of paint restoration in the solid colored areas (this was necessary to "even out" those areas).
