Blue, White, and Perfect, the 1941 Herbert I. Leeds ocean voyage Hawaiian diamond smugglers detective mystery romantic crime thriller ("Mike Shayne signs up with Uncle Sam... and his past adventures look like a picnic!"; "Based on the story by Borden Chase and the character 'Michael Shayne' created by Brett Halliday") starring Lloyd Nolan ("as the inimitable detective Michael Shayne"), Mary Beth Hughes, Helene Reynolds, George Reeves, Steve Geray, Henry Victor and Curt Bois. Note that "Michael Shayne: Private Detective" was the first in a series of twelve detective movies based on the character created by Brett Halliday. Lloyd Nolan played the character in the first seven movies between 1940 and 1942. There was then a 4 year gap and the series resumed in 1946, with Hugh Beaumont (best remembered as the father in TV's "Leave it to Beaver") taking over the role and he starred in five movies in 1946 and 1947.

Condition: good. There are some creases and tiny indentations throughout the stills and there are several pinholes around the edges.
