An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train, the 1951 Alfred Hitchcock railroad train murder crime film noir ("You'll be in the grip of love's strangest trip!"; "It's off the beaten track!"; "It begins with the shriek of a train whistle and ends with shrieking excitement! Young America's idol - a good looking stranger in search of sensation - and a girl in love. These are the people around whom Alfred Hitchcock spins his wonderful new web of suspense and surprise. Warner Bros. bring you a pounding new tempo to motion picture entertainment."; "It starts with the shriek of a train whistle... and ends with shrieking excitement!"; "Warner Bros. Now bring a pounding new temp to screen entertainment!"; "Screen Play by Raymond Chandler and Czenzi Ormonde"; based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith; about a man who meets a somewhat unbalanced man on a train, and they fantasize about how each has a person that makes their life miserable, and the unbalanced man says that they could each kill the other's problem, and would never get caught!) starring Farley Granger, Ruth Roman, Robert Walker, Leo G. Carroll, Patricia Hitchcock, Kasey Rogers, and Marion Lorne NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still appears in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the still was printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that it WAS printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us (and we have seen this on stills from the 1940s through the early 2000s, so it has certainly been done for an extremely long time)! So it is an original still from 1951, but it was printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good. The still has unevenly changed to a sepia color. There is paper loss in the bottom right corner, tape stains in three corners, and surface paper loss in the bottom left blank corner.
