New York City dysfunctional-family-with-alcoholic-father-who-can't-keep-a-job family relationship melodrama ("Adapted from the Novel by Betty Smith") starring Dorothy McGuire ("as Katie"), Joan Blondell ("as Aunt Sissy"), James Dunn (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; "as Johnny"), Lloyd Nolan ("as McShane"), Peggy Ann Garner ("as Francie", a role which garnered an honorary Academy Award for her performance), Ted Donaldson ("as Neely"), James Gleason, Ruth Nelson, John Alexander, and B.S. Pully NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm]. Note that this still has a stamp on the back in the form of a diamond that has "TRR" running down the center. One certainly might wonder who placed this stamp there and why. The answer is that the still (and many others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from a still collector who has collected for many decades, and long ago he began stamping the back of his stills with this stamp, and "TRR" is his initials! Each of the stills is stamped lightly, and the stamp does NOT affect the front of the still. He is a VERY advanced collector, and he has consigned many wonderful stills to us! Condition: very good. There is a tiny tear near the center of both the top and bottom blank borders, and a small pencil mark in the lower left. Learn More about condition grades
