An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style A Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55" [99 x 140 cm]) (Learn More) La Donna Di Notte (released in English-speaking countries as "Women by Night"), the 1962 (released in the U.S. in 1965) Mino Loy Italian mondo documentary ("Glamour, glitter, rhinestones and diamonds"; "Torrid! Revealing! Shocking!"; "Tells all! Shows all!"; about exotic dancers throughout the world) featuring French Can Can, Los Machucambos, Charleston Follies, Il Voodoo, Estrellita, Roller Star, Tokiko & Taeko, Kokusai Ballet, Judy Lynn Show, International Market Place Troupe, Elsa & Waldo, Aia La O Pele, La Martincia, Caroline Cherie, Danza Del Fuoco, Nereida Y Suensueno Tropical, La Marionette De Valdes, Christine France, Frank Nagai & Kazuko Matsuo, Sam Butera & the Witnesses, Dave Apollon Orchestra, Scarlet Love, and Rudy Cardenas ("The Juggler"). Note that this was one of the approximately 100 "sexy nocturne" mondo style documentaries that were produced between 1959 and 1970, mainly in Italy. They are documentaries that include segments of strippers, which allowed them to include nudity that had formerly only been seen in nudist movies. The strippers are shown performing their acts, and there was an attempt to film them artistically. Most of these films contain one or more of the words "world", "night", "sexy", "girls", etc. Filming locations include Cafe Resi, Moulin Rouge, Club Sexi, Tai Boxe, Desert Inn, Golden Nugget, Eden Salon, Haus Vaterland, Zillertal, Metro Ballroom, Kokusai Theatre, Matsubaya, and Katherine Dunham Night Club.Note that the Italian two-panel poster for this movie has a wonderful super close image of a sexy girl who is wearing "blackface" makeup with bright red lips, like minstrel singers from decades before. We imagine it is nothing to do with actual blackface, but rather to signify the "women by night" of the title, but it is an incredibly striking poster! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Italian movie! Condition: good.
