The buyer of one of those posters had it linenbacked and has now reconsigned it to us, so this is still only one of two examples we have ever auctioned! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had many creases and scuffs scattered in the bottom quarter, with some surface paper loss and creases on the folds and tape stains around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. The poster was not backed correctly, and it is "lifting" from the linen at the top in Hepburn's credit. Learn More about condition grades
