Adolfi business romantic comedy (based on the story, "The Adopted Father", by Edgar Franklin; a complicated story of the wealthy owner of a shoe factory who is bored, and when his rival dies, he poses as a hobo and goes to work for the son and daughter of the rival, and gives his own business to his nephew, and turns the rival business into a more successful business than his own, and ultimately, the daughter of his rival ends up marrying his nephew) starring George Arliss, Bette Davis (very young in this role!), Hardie Albright, Gordon Westcott, and Theodore Newton NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the playdates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images). Learn More about condition grades
