Murders in the Rue Morgue, the 1971 Gordon Hessler English crime horror detective thriller ("LOVE and MURDER are the two consuming passions of the Rue Morgue!"; "Rue Morgue... where sighs of passion end in screams of TERROR!"; "A sigh... a gasp... a scream!"; "Night has fallen on the Rue Morgue."; "Edgar Allan Poe's masterpiece of horror..."; "Edgar Allan Poe's masterpiece of the grotesque"; "A sigh of PASSION! A scream of TERROR! And the scratch of claws on the cobblestones.
