Strayer United States Coast Guard military maritime romantic action thriller ("He's dynamite to killers, kidnappers & smugglers!"; "The heroic adventures of the Coast Guard"; about a Coast Guard officer who should be given the command of a ship, but instead the ineffectual son of a high ranking officer is made the captain over him, and he must deal with that man while actually running the ship behind the scenes, and trying to rescue his girlfriend) starring John Wayne, Nan Grey, Fuzzy Knight, William Bakewell, George Irving, Harry Worth, Lotus Long, and Russell Hicks

What IS gelbacking? Learn More

Condition: good to very good. The card had paper loss in the top left corner, with some tears, stains, smudges, pinholes, and tiny paper loss around the edges. Overall, the card was in good condition prior to restoration. A talented restorer gel backed the card (meaning they backed the card onto a gel material) and they then performed restoration to the above defects, and then removed the gel backing, so that the card still looks and feels like an original card (and it is!), with no backing at all. Given the card's defects described above, the restorer did a pretty good job, but you can see signs of the defects and the restoration (see our super-sized images to get a good sense of exactly how the card looks now).
