An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Bret Harte's The Outcasts of Poker Flat, the 1937 Christy Cabanne California mining western melodrama (adapted from one of the most famous short stories of all time, written by Bret Harte; about very different people from a small town trapped in a cabin during a vicious storm; the original story was "fleshed out" with much added material, but it seems to have been pretty faithful to the original) starring Preston Foster, Jean Muir, Van Heflin (in his second movie role!), Virginia Weidler, Margaret Irving, Frank M. Thomas, Si Jenks, Dick Elliott, Al 'Fuzzy' St. John, Bradley Page, and Richard Lane NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. There is an area of paper loss in the man's image at top center that has been repaired with paper and tape on the front and back of the poster and there are some similar repairs around the edges and in the bottom crossfold. There is a scuff mark at upper right in the man's neck and there are some scuffs, scratches, and tack holes throughout the poster. There is some separation along the foldlines and some small tears around the edges of the poster that have been repaired with much tape from the back. Learn More about condition grades
