An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Father's Son, the 1931 William Beaudine family relationship melodrama ("From the story 'Old Fathers and Young Sons' by Booth Tarkington"; about a young boy who has a tendency to lie a lot, and his parents have differing views of how to deal with it, and he comes up with the idea of pretending to be kidnapped so that his parents will get closer to each other!) starring Lewis Stone, Irene Rich, Leon Janney, John Halliday, Mickey Bennett, and Robert Dandridge. Note that the advertising for this movie shows teenage boys who are both white and black African American, which seems somewhat unusual for the time. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is light water staining on the back of the top border, but it has little effect on the front. Otherwise, the card is in pretty nice condition.
