Many years ago, it was at auction regularly, but in recent years, as more and more examples of the poster "leave" the hobby when they are bought by non-poster collectors, the poster is auctioned far less frequently (we have only auctioned one other example of this in the past 5 years!). What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor wear on the folds. It had pinholes in the corners and a few small tears in the top and bottom blank borders. It had pairs of tiny staple holes in the center of the top and bottom, and it also had pairs of tiny staple holes surrounding each of the crossfolds (the ones at the top and middle crossfolds were in the white background area and the ones at the bottom crossfold had a slight effect on the title). Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was really expertly backed by a top restorer and it looks fantastic, and few people would be able to detect the restoration, even when looking at the poster close up.
