An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Rocking Moon, the 1926 George Melford silent Alaska romantic melodrama ("From the novel by Barrett Willoughby"; about a woman who owns a fox ranch in Alaska, and she hires an American soldier of fortune to help protect the ranch when her brother is injured, and he does so, plus they fall in love) starring Lilyan Tashman, John Bowers, Rockliffe Fellowes, Winter Blossom, and Luke Cosgrave. Note that it might seem odd that the man who helped the woman was referred to as "an American" while the woman owner of the ranch was not, but in 1926, many Americans did not consider Alaska truly part of the U.S., even though it had been owned by the U.S. since 1867 (in 1959 it became a state, which ended that issue). The poster had tears and areas of paper loss in the left half of the bottom horizontal fold and small paper loss at the crossfolds. It had minor wear on the other foldlines and pinholes and some paper loss in the blank borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
