Note that Alfred Hitchcock used the two taglines "The birds is coming!" and "The birds is here!" on several different types of advertising for this movie, no doubt because he thought it was funny that while it is technically grammatically correct when referring to the movie, they "sound wrong"! The poster was exposed to some sort of oily substance that stained the poster and has caused deterioration and paper loss at center in the art of Hedren's face. There are some creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges. A few of the tears or other defects as described above are repaired with tape from the back.
