Kenton Universal monster horror thriller sequel ("New Thrills as the monster stalks again!"; "Original Story, Eric Taylor"; the fourth Universal Frankenstein movie after the three 1930s classics; in this entry, Bela Lugosi as Ygor resurrects the Frankenstein monster and takes him to the doctor's son and they must find a new brain!) starring Cedric Hardwicke (billed as "Sir Cedric Hardwicke"; as Dr. Ludwig Frankenstein), Ralph Bellamy, Lionel Atwill (as Doctor Bohmer), Bela Lugosi (as Ygor), Evelyn Ankers (as Elsa Frankenstein), Lon Chaney Jr. (as the Frankenstein monster), Holmes Herbert, and Janet Ann Gallow NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: NOTE: In this case, the #2 in the title of the sale is not the number of the lobby card. Because we are selling more than one lobby card from this movie this week as separate eBay sales, we needed to differentiate the different sales, and we did so by marking them "#1, #2, #3, etc..". Condition: good to very good. many tiny pinholes around the edges of the card; a 2 1/2" slightly semi-circular tear in the middle of the bottom border (running through the "K" of "FRANKENSTEIN") mended with brown tape from the reverse; creases and light smudges around the edges of the card; a few faint scuff lines in the center of the image in the right edge of Frankenstein's body and extending on to Lugosi's coat, but they are really not very distracting. This great card has had no restoration of any kind! I would think many collectors could enjoy it quite well just as it is, but certainly a talented restorer could greatly improve the appearance with only slight restoration!
