An Original 1956 (from the first release of this movie in East Germany) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked East German Movie Poster (measures 22 1/2" x 32" [57 x 81 cm]) (Learn More) Sciuscia (released in the U.S. in 1947 as "Shoeshine"), the classic 1946 Vittorio De Sica Italian post-World War II (WWII) Neo-Realist falling-out-between-young-boys-who-are-best-friends melodrama starring Emma Gramatica, Antonella Lualdi, Franco Interlenghi, Rinaldo Smordoni, and Annielo Mele NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some minor wear on the foldlines. There was a horizontal scuff mark running just above the right of the letters. There was a 5" x 1/2" area of paper loss near the middle of the right border. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
