Os Bandeirantes (released in English-speaking countries as "The Pioneers" and in Italy as "Rio Negro"), the 1960 Marcel Camus French/Italian/Brazilian romantic adventure revenge melodrama starring Elga Andersen, Lourdes de Oliveira, Lea Garcia, Raymond Loyer, and Beija Flor. Note that this movie was made by Marcel Camus the year after his massive worldwide hit, "Orfeu Negro" (Black Orpheus), and like that movie, this movie proved popular in countries who were unfamiliar with Brazilian culture, especially its music and dance.
