An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Sheet Music (measures approximately 9" x 12"; 6 pages) (Learn More) Wonder Bar, the 1934 Lloyd Bacon all-star romantic musical ("Warner Bros' Wonder Show of the Century"; "Numbers created and directed by Busby Berkeley"; this movie included many of Warner Brothers' top stars at the time) starring Al Jolson, Kay Francis, Dolores Del Rio, Ricardo Cortez, Dick Powell, Guy Kibbee, Hal Le Roy, Hugh Herbert, Ruth Donnelly, and Fifi D'Orsay. Note that this movie is very controversial because of Al Jolson appearing in blackface, but even more so because of the giant production number "Going to Heaven on a Mule", where around a hundred white actors appear in angel costumes in blackface, and worn out plantation worker Al Jolson (in blackface) enters Heaven with his mule, and both are given their wings. This movie is rarely shown for all of the above reasons. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this sheet music from this movie is for the song "Why Do I Dream Those Dream". Also note that most sheet musics were printed on an inexpensive paper, so the covers scuff fairly easily (which is why we want you to look at our larger images before bidding). Almost all of the sheet musics we offer are in pretty good condition other than wear on the cover. Condition: very good. This vintage movie paper item (or related movie memorabilia) is in from somewhat lesser condition (what most collectors might call "good to very good" or "good") to clearly lesser condition (what some collectors might call "fair"). The item offered here has defects typical of many items that are forty to ninety years old, and some are mainly only in the borders or on the covers (if it is an item with multiple pages), so it is likely that the item can still be displayed and enjoyed. Please look at our "super-sized" image, as it will greatly help you know what condition this item is in! But also remember that some of these items have defects that may not be seen from our images (either because we did not photograph every part of the item, or because they are the sort of defect that is not easily seen). Please do not bid on this item unless you can accept the defects that it has! But also know that we were extremely harsh in grading these items we are currently selling, because we wanted our buyers to be at least satisfied when they received their purchase, and possibly overjoyed! We downgraded many items to this lower condition grade (especially sheet music) because they had defects that are enough that we would not grade them as "very good", but we would still think many collectors would be happy with those items. If our super-sized image seems to be in nicer condition than you would expert the item to be in, know that it is likely a result of our having graded these items so harshly!
