Wellman Alaska Yukon canine dog adventure gambling romantic melodrama ("Clark Gable portrays his most virile role in Darryl Zanuck's production"; "Based on the story by Jack London", but with a greatly expanded romance that wasn't in the book) starring Clark Gable, Loretta Young, Jack Oakie, Reginald Owen, Frank Conroy, and Buck (the St. Bernard dog!). Note that while making this movie, married Clark Gable had an affair (or was it rape?) with unmarried Loretta Young, and she became pregnant, and because it would have ruined both their careers, she took a year off and returned with an "adopted" baby! Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. There is slight smudging on the glass (it is not very distracting, and it could likely be cleaned). Otherwise, the slide is in pretty nice condition!
