An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) The Age of Consent, the 1932 Gregory LaCava romantic love triangle melodrama ("What is virtue? A new generation shouts the answer at 80 miles an hour!"; a surprisingly candid look at the "young generation" and its different views on sex and love; a college student loves his girlfriend, but they agree to wait until he graduates to get married, but he can't take the frustration of "waiting", and he is seduced by an underage waitress, and when she becomes pregnant, her father insists that the college student agree to marry her; but when his former girlfriend barely survived a serious car accident, the pregnant girl realizes how much he loves his girlfriend, and she defiantly tells her father that she refuses to marry him, which clears the way for them to get married and live happily ever after) starring Dorothy Wilson, Arline Judge, Richard Cromwell, Eric Linden, Aileen Pringle, and John Halliday. Prior to this film, Dorothy Wilson was an RKO secretary and among her duties, she worked with director Gregory LaCava. Mr. LaCava had an inclination that Dorothy would be a good actress, so they did a screen test and she exhibited a natural talent for being in front of the camera, and she was cast as the lead in this film! The pressbook even includes a comic strip illustrating her meteoric rise to stardom! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1932 movie posters from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only auctioned a six-sheet from this movie until we received this window card! Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
