Date Sold 9/15/2020 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 9 Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) Little Women, the 1949 Mervyn LeRoy romantic melodrama ("Everybody Loves Little Women"; "MGM's NEW Technicolor Romance!"; "World's greatest love story!"; "Four beautiful sisters... and the lucky boy-next-door!"; "From the Novel by Louisa May Alcott"; "Screen play by Andrew Solt, Sarah Y. Mason and Victor Heerman") starring June Allyson (as Jo), Peter Lawford (as Laurie), Margaret O'Brien (as Beth), Elizabeth Taylor (as Amy), Janet Leigh (as Meg), Rossano Brazzi (in his first American movie!), Mary Astor, Lucile Watson, C. Aubrey Smith, and Harry Davenport. Note that this was a remake of the 1933 movie of the same name which starred Katherine Hepburn as Jo Marsh. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that all of these stills are reference set photos. All of them have a visible clapboard in the image that gives the details about the movie. The studios would use these images for reference if they needed to shoot additional footage at a later time after the set was taken down. All of the stills have "RETURN TO PROPERTY DEPT." stamped on the back! Finally note that there are some punch holes in one edge of the stills (in this case they were almost certainly placed there by the studio, similar to key book stills that were held in a binder so that they could easily be reviewed). Note also that these are deluxe stills printed on double weight paper stock. Condition: good to very good. Each of the stills has punch holes in one edge (see above) and some writing at lower right (and some have an ink stamp there a well.) The set reference photos are otherwise in pretty nice condition.
