Date Sold 6/13/2013 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 13 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) Patricia Morison was an actress from 1930s to the 1980s. She had a very unusual road to stardom!; she was signed by Paramount in 1939 and was touted as a rival to their top female star Dorothy Lamour with the tagline "Lamour plus Lamarr equals LaMorison", but she did not achieve much success there, likely because she only got roles Lamour turned down, and she left Paramount and made low budget movies. It seemed she had a great break in 1947 in "Kiss of Death" when her suicide was shown on screen, but the producers decided audiences couldn't handle it and the scene was cut from the movie! In 1948, Cole Porter heard her sing and wrote the show "Kiss Me Kate" for her, and she starred in it on Broadway for 1,000 performances, and went on to a continued successful career in musicals on stage! Morison passed away in 2018 at the age of 103. Important Added Info: Note that one of the stills is in color. Also note that three of these stills measure from 7 1/4" x 10" to 8" x 10". NOTE: On rare occasions, large lots of 9 or more black-and-white stills like this one can sometimes have one or more duplicated stills, but since we only picture 8 of the stills, if there are duplicates, they are likely not pictured. Some of the stills have varying degrees of creases, and/or scuffs. The color still has a water stain in the top right corner.
